An official reception dedicated to the name change of PETROENERGOBANK, acquired by SEB Financial Group of Sweden (Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken), to SEB Bank OJSC, took place at Le Vernissage restaurant of the Ambassador Hotel on 26 September 2007.
SEB is a leading financial group of Northern Europe that has long been present in the markets of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. Acquisition of a St. Petersburg bank by SEB is a good starting point for SEB business in Russia.
Mats Kjaer, Chairman of SEB Bank Board of Directors, addressed the event participants with a presentation in which he discussed SEB business and shared plans for business expansion in Russia. Dmitry Machikhin, Commercial Director, greeted the guests on behalf of the Ambassador Hotel.
Products from all the Baltic countries in which SEB operates were represented at the party. The guests were free to sample Swedish Aqvavit, Riga Balsam, Polish Zubrowka, Estonian Vana Tallinn, Lithuanian Zhalgiris, and a variety of Zemaitijos Pienas cheeses and sausages.
